Adam Gottsegen concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Adam represents a variety of businesses in the lending and financing industry who seek to protect their contractual rights and security interests in both real and personal property. His clients include banks, credit unions, and consumer and commercial lenders.

Adam regularly represents creditors in collection proceedings, claim and delivery hearings, foreclosure actions, and bankruptcy matters. He has extensive experience appearing before the Bankruptcy Courts for all federal districts in North Carolina and broad litigation experience at the state court level.

Prior to joining Smith Debnam, Adam served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Rich Leonard, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
