POSITION: Litigation Associate
Section: Creditors’ Rights
Summary Job Description: This position will work in the commercial litigation and collections practices, to support Creditors’ Rights expanding South Carolina client base and established North Carolina practice. Clients include major credit grantors and lending institutions. Position will likely require an initial interim in Raleigh, NC office with ultimate assignment to new Columbia, SC office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle substantial case volume with minimal supervision.
- Handle hearings, trials and other matters in various jurisdictions throughout SC and NC.
- Manage staff effectively in support of practice.
- Negotiate effective settlements and case resolution on behalf of clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two plus years practice experience in litigation with South Carolina experience (preferred).
- Licensed in both South Carolina (required) and North Carolina (preferred.)
- Prior experience in construction, leasing and/or general creditor commercial litigation and negotiation.
- Skilled in ability to work with case management and work flow software system in a large, interdependent practice group.

POSITION: Collector
Section: Creditor Rights’ Retail
Summary Job Description: This position is responsible for the collection of debts for our Retail Clients. Responsibilities include: negotiating payment plans and settlements, asset research and skip tracing. This position requires working in a phone center environment, managing inbound and outbound calling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing inbound and outbound calls
- Skip tracing
- Data entry
- Negotiating payment plans and processing payments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Strong ability to negotiate and persuade
- Ability to process and manage a large volume of calls
- Prior experience in collections or working in a phone center a plus

POSITION: Collection Manager
Section: Creditor Rights’ Retail
Summary Job Description: This position is responsible for all aspects of managing our Creditors Rights 20 person collection team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the collector team to include hiring, training, motivating, and directing
- Develop and implement collection strategies
- Monitor staff performance, calls and collections
- Weekly forecasting and reporting of revenue collected
- Manage compliance of state and federal consumer protection laws and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience managing a staff of 5 or more employee in consumer collections
- 4 year college degree in a related field
- Thorough understanding of state and federal consumer protection laws
- Strong ability to analyze and problem solve
- Ability to demonstrate collections skills
- Proven ability to meet monthly revenue quotas
- Proficient and knowledgeable with creating Excel Reports
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of litigation legal process a plus
- Prior law firm experience a plus
