(June 27, 2024) — Smith Debnam today proudly announces that Landon Van Winkle, an associate attorney at the firm, has been appointed as Vice Chair of the Webinars & Podcasts Subcommittee of the Business Bankruptcy Committee within the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. He will serve in this distinguished role for a three-year term from June 2024 to September 2026.
Van Winkle is a vital member of Smith Debnam’s construction law, business litigation, and bankruptcy practice groups. His academic and professional accolades include being recognized as a Board Certified Specialist in Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and being listed among North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Business North Carolina Legal Elite in Bankruptcy. Van Winkle received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance, with distinction, from the University of Hawai’i at West O’ahu.
