Raleigh, N.C. (July 11, 2022) – Today, Smith Debnam announced that the firm was awarded the American Red Cross Chairman’s Award at this year’s 2022 Triangle Area Chapter Meeting. The 105th American Red Cross Triangle Chapter’s Annual Meeting took place on June 23, 2022. The Chairman Award, Red Cross’ highest partner award, honors local individuals and organizations for exhibiting exceptional support in serving the mission of the American Red Cross.
Since 2006, Smith Debnam has hosted over 32 blood drives, collecting an astounding 750 lifesaving blood donations. In addition, Smith Debnam annually supports the Red Cross mission through a weeklong Workplace Giving Campaign. The annual campaign features daily lunch & learn opportunities highlighting the need for a diverse blood supply, Service to the Armed Forces, International Law, and other Red Cross educational programs. The campaign has collectively gifted the Red Cross over $185,000 since its inception.
Smith Debnam’s Managing Partner Jerry Myers has served as a valuable Red Cross Triangle Area Chapter Board Member since 2014. In 2019, Myers received Midtown Raleigh Alliance’s Midtown Hero Award for delivering relief supplies to those affected in the wake of Hurricane Florence.
