Smith Debnam joins Midtown Raleigh Alliance and Trinity Baptist Church in presenting the 9th installment of the North Hills 5k. The race event, which is part of the Second Empire Grand Prix Race Series, will take place on Saturday, September 12 at Trinity Baptist Church, in the heart of Midtown Raleigh. About Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies provides children from food-insecure homes with healthy weekend meals during the school year. In North Carolina, one in four children are at risk of hunger. From January 2015 through May 2015, BackPack Buddies in association with North Raleigh Ministries provided 1,686 backpacks, filled with a weekend’s worth of food, to approximately 100 students across five Wake County elementary schools. The schools were Green Elementary, Stough Elementary, Baileywick Road Elementary, Lead Mine Elementary and Millbrook Elementary. This year, the number of students is projected to reach 117.
