Raleigh, N.C. (July 14, 2020) – Today, Smith Debnam announced that attorney Landon Van Winkle has joined the firm as an associate attorney in the firm’s consumer financial services litigation and compliance group. Van Winkle will help represent clients with pre-suit negotiations, litigation, and advocacy in matters involving consumer financial services litigation and compliance, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation.
Van Winkle served as an Infantry Mortarman Instructor in the United States Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008, for which he earned the Navy Achievement Medal for Outstanding Performance. He attended the University of Hawai’i at West O’ahu, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Economics and Finance. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.
Before joining Smith Debnam, Van Winkle represented corporate and individual debtors in bankruptcy and numerous individuals in consumer protection litigation.
